Since moving into my first house with the boys, the eating habits have changed for everyone. I am learning how to cook more different thing and trying to expand my food knowledge to make tastier meals that are full of flavor.
The first thing that I did was to make sure that I was not going to slave over a meal in the kitchen my routine has been, I buy veggies, prep them and put them in an airtight container so that they are ready for use when I am ready.
My boy’s favorite veggies are carrots, potatoes, broccoli, and lettuce. So with me introducing more vegetables to the boy’s diet I love that “straight from the root” is 100 percent USDA organic, preservative-free, non-GMO, fully cooked, cut-veggies in a French style of sous vide cooking at lower temp of cooking that preserves more of the nutrients in the vegetables. With straight from the root cooking the veggie in the same BPA-free bag as they are sold in the trap the vitamins in the bag and reduce unnecessary waste.
The Straight from the Root Products that I received is
Butter Nut Squash
Honey Gold Potatoes
So for our first meal with straight from the root is Sweet Potatoes with Roasted Chicken, Salad, and rolls.
Our Second meal is Beef with Gravy and Sweet Potatoes.
I love the fresh none process taste of the veggies. I do not have to add anything to the vegetables but just a little pepper, salt, and butter. Nothing else is needed to enjoy the taste of the veggies. I am also going to head to Whole Foods to get more Baby Carrots and Honey Gold Potatoes. With so many different family events coming up due to the holidays and birthdays I need to make sure that I am ready for what everyone is going to be happening.
